FULL PRACTICE, FULL DAY FOR BUCKEYES

The Ohio State Buckeyes settled into their game-week preparation routine, treating Sunday’s practice like a Monday during the regular season.
Because the 82nd Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic will be played on Friday, the Buckeyes and their opponent, the USC Trojans, are working a day ahead of their normal schedules.
Ohio State (11-2, 8-1 Big Ten) is fifth in the College Football Playoff rankings and USC (11-2, 8-1 Pac-12) is eighth.
Head Coach Urban Meyer put Ohio State through a spirited two-hour workout in full pads at Euless Trinity High School. They used the school’s outdoor and 60-yard indoor fields. On Monday, they will practice at AT&T Stadium, site of the Classic.
Despite the Dallas Cowboys being at home to play the Seattle Seahawks, a healthy contingent of local and visiting media turned out to see the Buckeyes practice.
Off the field, some players and staff were expected to take advantage of attending the Dallas Cowboys-Seattle Seahawks game. Among the former Ohio State players on the two teams’ rosters is Dallas’ Ezekiel Elliott, who was scheduled to return to action in the game for the Cowboys.
The Buckeyes also were scheduled to participate in a special team holiday party at the team hotel.
The Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic celebrates its 82nd anniversary on Friday, Dec. 29. Airtime on ESPN is set for 7:30 p.m. CST, with kickoff slated for 7:40 p.m.
This marks the fourth consecutive year for the Goodyear Cotton Bowl to be a part of the ESPN bowl lineup. Bob Wischusen and Brock Huard are set to provide the call from the booth with Allison Williams reporting from the sidelines.
ESPN Radio returns as the Classic's national radio partner for the sixth consecutive year. Brad Sham, the "Voice of the Dallas Cowboys," teams with Rod Gilmore in the booth and Quint Kessenich on the sidelines to describe all the action from AT&T Stadium. This is Sham's 21st consecutive year as the Classic's play-by-play voice and his 25th overall.
