WISCONSIN ARRIVES IN NORTH TEXAS FOR CLASSIC

Wisconsin touched down safely in North Texas Monday evening, traveling from Madison via private charter, for the 81st Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.

All players and coaches were accounted for as the entire travel party arrived at their team hotel in Dallas. The Badgers exuded excitement in taking festive atmosphere at the hotel, while settling into their home away from home for the next seven days.

No. 8 Wisconsin (10-3, 7-2 Big Ten) clashes with No. 15 Western Michigan Broncos (13-0, 9-0 Mid-American) in a matchup that features two, first-time Cotton Bowl Classic participants. The Badgers come into the game as the bowl veteran between the Classic newbies as UW is in the postseason for the 15th-straight season, which is the longest active streak in the Big Ten and tied for the sixth-longest active streak in the nation.

Tonight, UW gets its first glimpse of AT&T Stadium with the team taking in some NFL action between the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions. Tomorrow, the Badgers hit the turf in Arlington themselves for a closed practice session in the morning before conducting the team’s official arrival news conference in the afternoon with head coach Paul Chryst, OLB Vince Biegel and RB Dare Ogunbowale.

The Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic celebrates its 81st anniversary on Monday, January 2. Airtime on ESPN is set for noon CST, with kickoff slated for 12:01 p.m.

This marks the third consecutive year for the Goodyear Cotton Bowl to be a part of the ESPN bowl lineup. Bob Wischusen and Brock Huard will provide the call from the booth with Allison Williams reporting from the sideline.

ESPN Radio returns as the Classic's national radio partner for the fifth consecutive year. Brad Sham, the "Voice of the Dallas Cowboys," teams with Rod Gilmore in the booth and Quint Kessenich on the sideline to describe all the action from AT&T Stadium. This is Sham's 20th consecutive year as the Classic's play-by-play voice and his 24th overall.
