New Primary Graphic Unveiled

The Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic is rolling out a new look for the College Football Playoff Semifinal on New Year’s Eve. For nearly a decade, Dallas-based brand identity agency, Torch Creative, has collaborated with the Classic to develop and design a primary graphic that is unique to each year's game.
The primary graphic for the 80th Cotton Bowl plays up the festive nature of the Classic’s kickoff on New Year’s Eve with fireworks coming together over AT&T Stadium to form an abstract version of a cotton boll.
“This is going to be a very special year for the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic, and we wanted a new primary graphic that personifies the grandeur of this special game and the celebratory atmosphere we have planned for our first College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic,” Rick Baker, CBAA President/CEO said.
The creative process didn’t happen overnight. Torch Creative began sketching ideas shortly after the last Cotton Bowl in January, and after months of meetings and fine-tuning, the final primary graphic was selected.
Keep an eye out for more sightings of this graphic leading up to the big game. It will be used on all game promotional materials including the website, the game ticket and the game program.
